Lesson 129: Setting Up Confrontations

Sun Tzu wants us to remember our goals, to focus on making victory pay. In trying to create an opportunity by damaging our opponents, we forget that our opponents are also planning on damaging us. This endangers our position. It causes us to forget about protecting ourselves and our resources when it is those resources that keep us strong.
