8 Armed March - Part 2 - 172-193

Overview

As this chapter about about advancing position and moving into new areas continues, the emphasis shifts from understanding the type of terrain to understanding what the competition is doing.

We must discern the opposition’s intent from its words, actions, and emotions. Sun Tzu provides a great deal of detail to help us understand our competitors’ situation and direction. Because human nature has not changed, this advice works equally well in understanding the intentions of our competitors in our personal relationships or the business world.

The chapter shifts focus again at the end. We must understand how to handle our people when we are moving into new areas. The final lessons are about getting the most out of our people.

In this chapter, we change the rules. You will only get one opportunity to answer the question and it comes, as usual, before the lesson.

Review Lessons

You can ignore the questions if you want using the [Next] and [Back] buttons just to look at the slides (except when retaking the test). You can use the [Up] button to return to this page (except when retaking test).
